Reading Outreach was founded in 2021 when a reading specialist and experienced dyslexia tutor trained a group of volunteers to begin working with struggling readers, using a structured, multisensory curriculum to provide robust reading remediation similar to what private,
1-on-1 tutoring clients receive.
We started in a church building with 5 students and over the next 4 years, we've informally partnered with two community organizations in New Kensington, Pennsylvania.
